Week 6 - Last ones

Not "last ones" actually but because I'll leave at Monday morning these are last which I scanned by myself (I tried to update also all later comes here) And again, even if I'll move in another country ALL postcards will be registered! If you're afraid I'll forget yours, you can send ID-number for me but I'll register it only when I hear I'm also received postcard with it or if postcard is been travelled over 30 days and probably get lost. (I'll not ask you send new one because I think it is one postcard / address. But I don't either say against if you want send another.) And now we go on real business~

All postcards from last week. They are again in random order but I thought it's not matter ^^'

Beautiful postcard from Malbork, Poland. Sender said text on front (Pozdrowienia z Malborka) means "Greetings from Malbork.

One of my favorites! Wonderful postcard from Netherlands. I heard this card is free card but I don't care about that. I love this postcard because it's definitely perfect for me :')
Welkom thuis means Welcome home
Ik hou van jou means I love you
Bedankt voor de kaart, ik vind het een leuk en het is zo mooi :') dank je, dank je <3

Map of Bielefeld from Germany. Now I have something to take with me if I someday choose to visit there :') Very nice map postcard.

Polish postcard from United Kingdom. Sender told me that text on front (uwielbiam Twój zapach) means "I love your smell" and remind as well that all animals need love ^^

Really sweet and beautiful postcard from Netherlands. I love this style, it's something what we try to keep up with postcrossing, I think. Tradition of snail mail. Like, who keeps e-mails somewhere safe or just stop to look them and think that they looks beautiful. I don't know anybody... But hand written letters and postcards are another story then~

Also one of my favorites! Really beautiful and absolutely cute Puffin postcard from Taiwan :') I saw them before but I never really excepted to get one! So I was pretty suprised when I found this on my mail box. I think I have to add those on my wishlist when I return from Austria and see if there is more of them.

City view postcard from Poland. There is years 1297 and 1997 so... This card is waited 15 years to become sended. (if this is not just re-published of course) Wou, I wonder where it's been a while! Now it's anyway with me here :')

Beautiful postcard from Slovenia (I have no many postcards from there!) showing Slovenia's capital Ljubljana from The Three Bridges (you can see part of them on it) Really beautiful one and I like a lot postcards where is city names written on somewhere.

Nice and sweet Postcard from Germany. Simply message but creative way to tell it.

Nice postcard from Singapore ( I think this is my second from there...) Showing Singapore's Changi Airport. Good choose for me since I travel a lot... And spend time in airports.

Nice multi-view postcard from Canada showing Toronto. I think there is lot of things to see and maybe one day I can visit there... But not soon because I'm afraid of over-sea flights ^^'' And I have still most of European countries left to see.

There all. Thank you all so much and happy Postcrossinf for everybody! Have a nice time and lot of postcards! I'll write last cards now and return then when I'm back in Finland :') Thank you all!

Week 5

Hello~
I'm still not ready with all scanning stuff and others but I came to update last week now... Postcards are now bit random order because I don't remember anymore which one arrivaled on which day but I think it's not matter now ^^'

My first postcrossing postcard from Israel! I used to have pen-pal from there so I have few postcard too but no this one :')

A Tulip postcard from Netherlands. So sweet and lovely~

One of my favorites, bike from Netherlands. My biggest fear but I love still ;') I placed this on my room wall~

AD-postcard from Germany, back side is full of German so I spent nice half of hour trying to figure it out ^^ I like to learn languages and I'm also curious enough to do it by that way~

A wonderful postcard from China (also postmark was Chinese) but with US-id code. My first one showing The Great Wall and it looks so... well, great!

A nice postcard (look, horses~) from Mississippi, United States

A Swap postcard from Minsk, Belarus. And there was a tulips stamps on it! Thank you for sending this :') I'll post answer tomorrow!

A thank you postcard from Ukraine! With cat-stickers (I used them to cover our address now ^^) Thank you so much! I'm so happy you liked postcard which I sent you :')
And that's all, I think. Tomorrow is new post day then. I was also sick last week and because temperature was around -26 celsius, I didn't dare to go outside :/ So I didn't get on my way to post postcards... But I'm not sick anymore so tomorrow I can go to walk outside~
See you!

One Monday and one Poland-day

I have three postcards from last two days :')

From 23th of February
Very beautiful postcard from Netherlands :') I love this style (I don't know why but I find cards with "margins" and country's / citie' name on it very good looking. It's like contrast or something) And I simply love this view~ I think I'm already favorited all this kind of postcards from Netherlands (I was even thinking if I'm acting weird... but I just love them! ^^''')

Today I received two postcards and them both was from Poland. (But from different places) First on photo there is very lovely view which looks that kind of place where it would be nice just to run around :')
Another one is showing Kraków, city in south part of Poland. Sender told me that I was favorited one postcard which she was sent for somebody else so she sent me same kind of postcard. I remember I favorited that one because of misty view (I love misty city views as well!) so this was just perfect!

And 24th of February was Poland day

maanantai 23. tammikuuta 2012

Rest of last week

It's funny. It's not matter how many postcard I got during week but there is always one day when I don't receive any. And that day seems to be always Wednesday (not my favorite day, so) What's wrong with that day?! :'D

Okay, there is postcards from 19th and 20th of February~

19th of February
First one is from Poland and showing monuments around Warsaw, capital of Poland. Again one place where I'm never been but I would like to visit someday ^^ (in other side there is places names in English: Jezuicka street, Barbican, J. Kilinski monument, Walls, Marketplace, Brzozowa street, Zamkowy square, Kanonia, "Pod Murzynkiem" house, St. John's cathedral. I think front side names are Polish then)

Tulips postcard is from Netherlands, so beautiful new one for my collection (and for my "tulips field" on my table :') Yellow ones are one of my favorites. (oh well, I like all tulips but especially white and yellows)
Also postcard was written in Dutch which made me very glad ^^ I need to learn new words that I can impress people next time when I go to Belgium or Netherlands and that helps a lot ;')

20th of February
Again one from Netherlands this time with smiley bees and flowers. Perfect cards to cheer up people I think ^^
And very nice view from Michigan, United States. Unfortunally this card was taken bit damage during travel but I fixed it little after taken photo and it's looks very nice :') After all, it made long travel from America to here far Northern Europe.

Thank you for all! Tomorrow will start new postweek and also 10th million postcard countdown is going on Postcrossing page. I didn't make any guess when countdown will end or from where that postcard is sent but I'm still waiting it ^^'

See you! Tot ziens, nähdään ^^

perjantai 13. tammikuuta 2012

It's Friday again

Hello~ Today was wonderful post day, I got five postcards!

All cards today
And countries are: Russia, Russia again, Netherlands, Belarus and China. In order first is from Russia and it was sent from Postcrossing meeting! They had one in Moscow at December. This was really nice suprise and I feel also very honoured to get one meeting postcard. Everybody who was there, thank you a lot! Hope you had a nice day there.
Another postcard from Russia was also wonderful! Painting of troika (by P. Kovalevky). Troika is traditional Russian way to drive horse and it's also very fast! But I think difficult to control. I hope to see someday troika by my own eyes and maybe try to drive it too (or maybe not... I usually drive max, two horses ^^'') Also this card's stamp was wonderful. There is photo of it later.
Then my lovely Netherlands, I love this postcard too. When I went to get post, this was left bit up so I saw it first and my thought was "oh, my mail box is growing tulips... wonderful!" I can't say more than I just love this postcard :') And there was postcrossing stamp on it! I took own photo of it. (little trivial fact: there is Finnish on this stamp. One those postcards have text "Talviset terveiset" which is Finnish and means "Winter greetings" How funny :') If you have postcrossing Europe-stamp you can see it too.)
From China I get lovely postcard with two cats. Absolutely cute~ I want own cat too but it's not possible now :'( But someday I'll give home for one or two cats (or three?)
And then there is wonderful swap-card from Belarus. I'll send you one back soon! Minsk looks actually very nice city... I would like to visit also there someday.

"From the Garden of Holland, a Tulip... Especially for you~"

It's Postcrossing stamp! Yay!

Really beautiful horse stamp from Russia. Love this too

torstai 12. tammikuuta 2012

Hi~

There is now postcards from last three days (four, but today I didn't got post). But let's go with these lovely cards now~

Liège, Belgium

I get this wonderful postcard from Belgium last monday. It made me very happy since I lived in Belgium last year. I also know Liège because I was going to visit there (unfortunally I had no time... But I'll make visit when I go to Belgium again) This postcard became right one of my favorites :')
(sorry about photo's bad quality, my camera didn't like me again...)

Lynx from Belarus

Belarussian stamps. I like this coat of arms very much. It's such good looking
Tuesday I get also one postcard and this time it was from Belarus. Very nice lynx there and I also learn something else because I didn't know they have lynxes also in Belarus! Also, I like Belarussian stamps a lot, they are often with nature theme and very pretty. This time I took also photo of them ^^

Postcard from Ukraine and Dutch cows
And Wednesday there was two postcards. Really wonderful card from Ukraine. I found this desing very beautiful.
Then there is Dutch cows from ...Netherlands! I said this already once but I like Netherlands very much, it's my favorite country if I don't count my homecountry. It's actually quite funny because I'm still scared of bikes after I visited in Netherlands... but with good and bad. I love that country. :')

This all this time. Let's hope today will be also good postday! ...I almost forget. Today I walked past of "car checking centre" (nothing clue about real English name but it's place where you have to go to check your car sometimes) and... all post cars was there! I was upset because I left my camera home and didn't get photo of this "post cars meeting". But believe me, it was so funny looking!

Have a nice day~!

2nd of January!

Hello! I got yesterday first postcards for year 2012! Today I didn't received post but well, yesterday there was four postcards on my post box so it was good :')

From 2nd of January
First one is from China, sent from Beijing. Next of it is nice Christmas card from Lithuania (oh my... I forget what is Lithuania's name in English... I was thinking about Lietuva ^^'')
Bikes are from Netherlands and that postcard literally made my day! I knew sooner or later somebody just have to send me bikes and now it happened ^^ That card is now on my room's wall.... reminding me about Dutch bikers... (I think I remember wrong but I used to say/hear "pas op de fiets" also in Belgium... But I'm not sure if I remember correctly ^^'' I need to learn more Dutch...)
Last one is from Australia. I have no lot of cards from there so this was also a nice suprise. Kangaroos are cute and funny looking animals, I think. (I didn't know they smells...)

Okay, see you next time!

Post of 27th - 29th Dec.

Hello again~ I'll put all three days post on same so I don't need to make three small.

(From 27th of December)
I got two postcards like you can see on photo above. First is from Holland and it became immediately of my very favorite postcards! It's just so... perfect. And I was really lucky to got another amazing postcard on same day. That cat came from Japan and I heard photo is taken by photographer "Iwago Mitsuaki" I like this kind of cat photo where cat is natural and maybe he/she is just been around when photographer is being looking for something nice to take photo, I think. (I hope you understand what I tried to say...)

(From 28th of December)

Also 28th day I got two postcards. That cat one is from Germany (photo by Miroslav Ptácek) Like a day before, I found also this cat postcard very naturel and nice looking. I put it together with next one in my postcard album. They looks very good next to each others ^^
Another one is from Belarus and it became also one of my favorites! I was looking those kind of postcards from Postcrossing gallery and hoped I would get one too. I was so happy when I saw this on my post box ^^

(From 29th of December)
And last ones. Actually I got five postcards but one was from my friend who is in Italy at this moment and
I'll put photo of it later ^^''
In order, first horse postcard is from Germany and sender gave me web address to her homecity's page. (http://www.bochum.de/) It's actually not so far away from there where I lived when I was in Germany ^^ My place was just little closer of border of Netherlands.
Beautiful landscape is from Belarus and it came with greetings form Minsk, capital of Belarus. Next of it is nice postcard from India. Also my first one from there so it makes this also special one.
Last in photo is very beautiful Christmas card form Ukraine. I like it very much and there was little poem(?) inside of it, but I didn't understand text... I took photo and put it there on end. (otherwise I could try to translate this, but I can't make those letters on my laptop and that makes it a bit difficult ^^'')

Thank you everybody for wonderful postcards! Today was last day before New year that I received post so those ones was my last postcards for this year. How wonderful year 2011 was! Even I didn't do lot of post things but I made some adventures and spent really nice time. I wonder what will happen next year?

Post of 19th of Dec.

(Click the photo to make it bigger)
So here is today's post :') I was thinking to take photo of all of them but I noticed it would take more time to load and maybe this is better. Anyway, I'll look something else it this is not working.

Yeah, five postcards today and they are all lovely! If I start from photo's order... First one is Christmas card from Berlin, Germany. (in photo: left up corner) I like this colours very much, it's very warm but not all "bling bling"... Actually just perfect Christmas feeling!

Second card form above line (I think I don't know how to say... it's middle one...) is from Texas, U.S.A. It's showing Bluebonnets (I tried to find Finnish name for those but I didn't find it...) Those flowers are State flowers of Texas and that was new information for me ^^ Had every states their own flowers? I know that most of nations have but I didn't know about states.  Also, I love those small photos on back side of this postcard (I didn't take photo of it so you can't see... I didn't want to put my address here ^^''')

Third postcard is from Estonia! This was second time when I got card from there (first time was swap card). It's Christmas card and there was text inside of it:

"Palju soojust ja õnne te kodule,
palju päikest te tublile perele,
palju rõõmu ja virkust te silmile,
palju toredaid päevi uude aastasse!"

Translated it in Finnish:

Paljon lämpöä ja onnea kotiisi,
paljon aurinkoa sinun kelpo perheellesi,
paljon iloa ja ... kasvoillesi,
paljon mukavia päiviä uuteen vuoteen!
(edelleen saa sitten korjata minua... en muista/tiedä, mikä on "virkust" suomeksi ^^'' Ma räägin natuke eesti keelt aga ma ei tea mis on "virkust" soome keelel. Kas te saaksite mind aidata, palun? Aitäh :')

You see, there is something similar between Finnish and Estonian...

Next one! Really adorable one from Netherlands. "Fijne kerstdagen en een goed 2012" means "Merry Christmas and good 2012" I love this card, it's looks so great with cat and that Christmas decoration... I know what cat is thinking! :'D

And alst but not least (<--- Always wanted to say that!) A great tulips postcard from Netherlands! Oi, how I love tulips cards! I tried to find my favorite from those tulips but I ended to like them all. (Seriously, I feel soemtimes like little child with my tulips addiction... I'm actually 20 years old and mature enough to travel around Europe but its doesn't matter ^^''')

Thank you all so much! This was really great post day. Now I hope that postcard which I sent, will find their home soon. I have some nice new card and I want to send them too~

Bye~!

Post of 12th of Dec. and last Friday

Okay hi!

I was busy again at weekend so I didn't update this. Saturday I was on Christmas market (it was really small, nothing like those what they keep in Germany! I would want to visit German Christmas market someday^^) and also helped my mom to bought presents. Sunday I was... Just lazy...

But today I got four postcards so it's time to tell about them!

First Friday maybe...

I received one postcard. It was really amazing map-card from Bulgaria! It was even shaped like silueth of Bulgaria and there was all main cities with small picture of their most important landmarks. It was wonderful card. I placed it on my room's wall but if I someday go to Bulgaria, I'll take it with me and then visit all those important places (real road trip~) And it was swap card. Thank you so much for sending it!

And the today~

Four cards from Netherlands, United States and Taiwan (two of them was from there!)

From Netherlands I received very nice one. It's sent from city called Leeuwarden and sender recommend me to visit city's homepage (www.vvvleewarden.nl) I checked that website and it looks very nice. Also available in English but for some weird reason my internet browser wants to show only Dutch one... Well, no problem, I can understand Dutch too (actually... I was reading and suddenly I noticed that this looks funny... Wait! There is no that kind of double letters in English! This is Dutch...) Anyway! I like this postcard very much, it's very elegant view card. You know, there is black sides and then small photos and city's name... voilá, very beautiful. Thank you!

Then United States. This is first one from there for long time and sender said he made this postcard by himself. I really respect people who have skills to make postcards! I have completely none... But I have nothing against of self made postcard, some people can made really amazing and after all somebody is made all postcards. Also those which you can buy form shop. Thank you!

Like I said I got two postcard from Taiwan and they both are amazing! One is with Taiwan's flag and its looks like it was painted on wood. I love this one, it's very beautiful.
Another one is from cat-lover and of course it's with photo of cat (cats, there is two of them but second is hardly to notice) I love cats and it's nice to see how they live somewhere in another side of Earth. Thank you so much for both of you!

I think I figured out how to take good photos of postcards with my camera so I think I can also start to put them here. I need to test it yet... But I think it would be nicer to see photos too! And of course update them also to Postcrossing gallery.

That's all, see you~!

Just update

Three of my cards arrived today! First one to Malaysia (I tried all the time wrote it in Finnish "Malesia"). It was on travelling 8 days which was actually less than I expected. I thought it would take more than ten days to go there. But better like this! It was also quite suprise when I noticed it =) This was also first time when I sent postcard to Malaysia.
Next was to Netherlands and third to France. Now Netherlands is number one on my stats (that one which tells how much I sent and received... I think you know, that on Postcrossing ^^'') So now Netherlands: sent 21 / received 16. Second Germany with  26 / 10 so there is only one postcard difference.

Thank you for you all! I'm glad that you liked those postcards :')

So, I took three new address and I have now postcards going to travel to Australia, Germany and Netherlands. Let's see when they will find home~

That's all. I'm new with this blog so I'm not sure yet what to speak about... Oh! I noticed it is December and it mean... Christmas card time! Ou, Finnish post will goes crazy so I have to be carefull to sent all Holiday wishes early enough.

Today's post 1 of Dec.

Moi,
("hi" in Finnish)

Today I got one postcard. Really amazing 3D tulips card from Holland. Thank you so much! I spent nice few minutes on morning just staring this and turning around =D (In my area, postman come very early morning, he is here sometimes around nine! ((9.00am)) So when I have lazyer morning, I can just first to go get post when I waked up) Anyway, I put this postcard on my table, there is small tulips field already and I still hope it will grow more~

(I'm still staring this postcard, it's looking so amazing how those tulips like move! I think I found my inside child again by this :')
Okay, I have also only one card to get to post today. One swap card to Italy and I'll now to go with it. It have to be on mail before 14:00 if I want that it'll start travel today. Actually there is alredy few of my postcards there because I went to drop some yesterday evening. (there is something funny with that phrase but I don't found what... Okay, let it be...)

See you!
